Mini portrait session with JR Ancheta (only ten available)
July 28, between 5-8 (time slot to be assigned after RSVP and payment)
Donors will receive the original metal photo plate (sized 4 x 5) afterwards
All proceeds will benefit the Fairbanks Arts Association, a local nonprofit supporting the arts in the Fairbanks North Star Borough.
The collodion process, mostly synonymous with the "collodion wet plate process", requires the photographic material to be coated, sensitized, exposed and developed within the span of about fifteen minutes, necessitating a portable darkroom for use in the field.
Collodian Portrait Session with JR Ancheta
Sit for a non-digital photo shoot with JR Ancheta. Using a process that is over 150 years old, your image will be captured onto a metal plate that goes from exposure to development in a portable labratory. You'll end up with a one-of-a-kind piece of art for your collection, all while supporting the mission of the Fairbanks Arts Association (benefitting from this fundraiser).
